Yearly cravings?

Discussion in 'Health' started by SpunkiSpirou, Jul 31, 2012.

  1. Does anyone else get yearly cravings? Or is it just me?

Basically every year, starting in July I get a craving for a certain food, which I will constantly be eating (along with the other regular stuff I eat) and I will eat it right up into December time.

So this is what mine were during the last few years:
    2012: Popcorn
    2011: Vanilla Ice Cream
    2010: Cream
    2009: Pancakes
    2008: Jelly

I can't remember any further back, so I'm not sure when exactly this started.

I don't know why it even happens, like I don't even like ice cream but last year my craving was vanilla ice cream. Sat in the house in early December "I fancy some ice cream, I'm off to the shop" and I'd go buy a tub of ice cream and just eat the whole thing, in December, when its already cold anyway. WTF is it with my body?

It's like some sort of weird pregnancy that lasts 6 months and then disappears until the next July.

  2. This year mine is Smoothies yummmm
  3. I get random cravings for everything under the sun, mostly when I have no money XD
  4. So its defo not just a 'me' thing then?
  5. Def not just you lol
  6. Mine is grapes and strawberries. My baby brother[he's about a year and two months] eats them all everytime we get strawberries though. He loves them.
  7. I like the powerade ones from Sonic haha
  8. I haven't tried that one. I stopped drinking regular powerade because of the amount of sugar in it. I like Powerade Zero, I drink it everytime I go the gym. How many flavors do they have?
  9. I hate the Zero, it's got a bitter taste lol (UNHEALTHY ME).
  10. I know what you mean though. If I don't drink it though I feel so ill. =/
  11. I only drink the regular powerade 3 or 4 times a month though.
  12. Ya, that's healthy though. As long as you don't drink it a whole lot, its the same as soda. You know Coke is behind Powerade though?
  13. Yea I know, shocking huh?
  14. Ya, because Powerade Zero has no traces of "aspartame", yet Coke's diet drink does.
  15. Haha that's strange, Spunki. I've never had yearly cravings but lately I've had an odd craving for pretzels:confused: Think it has to do with the salt though (I love salt - it's so bad.)
  16. @AjaxAjax Is that Sonic as in the Hedgehog?

  17. I can't stand putting salt on my food. It makes it tastes disgusting unless its on french fries and mixed correctly.
