Do you have an addiction to video games?

Playing video games is something I've been addicted to doing for years. I started playing video games as far back as when I was 5 years old. I'm still playing today in my late 30's. I will never stop playing video games until I can't hold controllers and see.

Do you have gaming addiction?

I used to be addicted to video games up until 2 months ago. I was playing Elder Scrolls Online 70+ hours a week until I quit and sold my PS5 and Xbox Series X. And I haven't look back, and I am 100000000000000x happier now than I was playing video games.

I only got addicted once, that was playing sly cooper 2 on PS2, not sure why, I just could not put it down.

As it stands right now, I am not addicted to video games but I do remember a time years ago, I did become addicted to video games. It was a time when I was going through a rough patch in my life and video games were my distraction and through that I became addicted.

I still play video games now but I wouldn't say I am addicted.

I used to play alot. But I have to much other stuff going on now.
I can say that with you having so many other better things to commit yourself into doing, it's going to be easy for you to beat addiction to video games playing.

I was addicted to playing video games while I was still in secondary school. I can leave the errands I was sent to do and focus on my games. It has been going on like this till I started working because I need money. Everything about video games doesn't move me again.

Too much of everything is bad which is the reason why I believe that playing a particular game 70 plus hours in a week is something that is excessive. It is bound to affect you in a very negative way.

You've make a great point there! Excessive gaming can indeed have negative consequences on our lives and it can lead to, social isolation, Sleep deprivation and many more.

I can't say I'm addicted now, but as a kid, I played a lot of video games, which got me into programming.

Gaming has definitely been a big part of my life too! I started playing when I was young and still find myself immersed in games today. There’s something about getting lost in a game that never gets old.

Yeah, so far you aren't neglecting your responsibilities, shying away from the things that supposed to be done. You will enjoy games so much. Gamers always get lost whil playing, mesmerising the moments in the games.

I'm guilty of this myself. In most cases I get sucked into games, but luckily I've managed to keep up with some other stuffs.

For me, It's more like time disappears when I'm gaming. But hey, in as much as possible not neglect my responsibilities, it's all good,

Exactly my point! And it's not just about the gameplay that gets me stucked, it's the whole experience - the stories, the characters, the worlds...

I've been hooked on video games since I was a kid, and I totally get the addiction. While I still play console games, I also mix it up with online games that keep my brain active It’s a fun way to switch gears while still enjoying some gaming. Anyone else found a balance between video games and educational games?

I'm addicted to playing one game, and that is Pokemon GO. I used to be addicted to video games when I was younger, but ever since then, video games have slowly phased out of my life.

I'm not addicted to playing video games but one of my friends became addicted to playing League of Legends about a decade ago. Her mom kicked her out of the house because she didn't have a job, and would play the game all day. When she moved to Seattle with her ex, she stopped playing the game as much and is doing much better now. She's even got a job too!

I play games for fun, when I am tired of working, when I want to relax, I play games. I play when I have time. Sometimes I play couple of hours every day and sometimes I do not play for weeks. I don't have addiction.

I don’t have addiction. I don't play every time I am bored. There are other hobby activities I enjoy.

I am not addicted to video games. I play sometimes and also engage in other hobby activities

While I was a teenager, I didn't have a limit to how I played games. I could be playing games and forget that I've not done the house chores that I mapped out to do. It was that bad.

A lot has changed with academics, personal businesses, and life goals now taking more of my time nowadays.
