I slept maybe 8 hours in the last 48 hours, because I've been super busy with a lot of business ideas. Usually I find it hard to stay awake for lengthy periods, but I was able too.

Have you ever forced your body to stay awake?

yes, I can do that especially when I am watching interesting movies, reading interesting books or working on deadlines.

I used to in the past, but I no longer try to force myself to stay awake. As soon as I’m tired or exhausted, I’m going to sleep.

I can only try so hard to not sleep at night but there is a point that it gets to, and my body won't be able to withstand and I would sleep off. I think I have a limit to my pushing to stay awake and my body always shuts down when that limit is reached.

I sleep whenever that I feel like sleeping. Forcing myself to stay awake is never the best option because I will end up having migraine as a result of that.

Yeah, I've extended my staying awake, especially when the thing I'm involved in is interesting, or I'm just up against a deadline. Caffeine can also be useful, but it isn't that enduring.

Migraines are the worst. I hate them with a passion. I’d rather not deal with a headache at all.

Staying up without proper rest is never a good idea. Your body will end up crashing out when you’re exhausted.

I’d rather stick to my daily 7-10 hours of sleep on a daily basis instead of having rough things to deal with.

I wouldn't ever try forcing myself to stay awake. Wouldn't I be going to work the next morning? If I don't sleep well at night, I can't function well the next day.

This is so me. I tend to enjoy my sleep every night as there is no point not sleeping when I should be doing so. If I fail to sleep well, it will surely show when next that I go to work.

I have no reason to force myself to be awake unless on occasions where I have a job to deliver the next day. If it is not about work, I can't force myself to be awake for any reason.

I am really trying t lean away from having to stay awake at night. Lack of sleep is already having it's toll on me. I have nagging headaches because I have not really had enough sleep lately. All works should be routed to the day time for me moving forward.

For a short time, yes.
If needed, yes.
But just for a test... No.
I have tried the above stuff before... So... ^^

I wonder the type of work that will deny me my sleep. I work during the day and that's it for me. I don't see any reason for not focusing on the work that I do for the day and enjoy my sleep at night.

I can only force myself to be awake if I have a work or movies to watch. Apart from that, I can only force myself to sleep, I have difficulty to sleep sometimes.

Mine is the opposite and it's been like that lately. I was experiencing frequent headaches and I was told to have enough sleep. I've been taking muscle relaxers just to have enough sleep lately . So I take muscle relaxers to force myself to sleep, not the other way round 🤣.

Some people are also working at night, they are deprived of their sleep. While some have mastered being awake throughout the night, others will need to take something that will make them to be awake all through.

It's always important to prioritize rest and self care because it's going to be very hard to function well with lack of sleep and it will affect your health in the long run.

Exactly. There's no point of forcing yourself to stay awake. If you're tired, go to sleep.

I wish to be the one who's forcing myself to be awake because it means that I'm getting more than enough sleep all the time whenever I hit the bed, unfortunately it's the other way around with me. I'm forcing myself to sleep but it's working.

I don't play with my sleep because I sleep for 5 hours or less most of the time. So, each time that I feel sleepy, I have to sleep because I rarely get enough.

I would be in a jubilation mode if I should sleep for 5 straight hours at night. I can't remember how that feels because I sleep under 4 hours every damn night.

If you are struggling with sleeping at night, why not trying training hard with some indoor drills ebsey night before you sleep? I guess that would be of help on that.

Even if it's a work which money is involved, I wouldn't sacrifice my sleep often for it because in the end, my health will break down and become worse.

I forced myself to stay up a long time when I was 16 years old one day. I stayed up all night at my friend's house, and stayed awake until 9 pm the next day when I just crashed. I tried staying up longer so I could watch Teen Titans, but nope I was out lol. I couldn't do this now though.

That was back than, but now I don't force my self to stay awake.
I can take pill to stay awake.

If the reason why I force myself to stay awake isn't highly motivated by a good pay, I wouldn't sacrifice my sleep that easy.

Yes, I can force myself to stay awake. I can be up all night if needed.

Do you always have a reason to do such because I can only force myself to stay awake when I have work that I must deliver the next day. If it is not about work, I can't even force myself to be awake because of a movie these days.

If there is something pressing like work or taking care of a family member that requires me to stay awake at night, I don't mind. I wouldn't be feeling sleepy if it is an issue of concern.
