Caring for your pet like it's your child

Do you try to give the same love and effection for your virtual pet as you would your own child?

I feel like doing so isn't necessarily strange but getting you more emotionally involved with the game.

What do you all think?

I have emotional investment with every virtual pet I have. It is what keep me coming back to keep caring and nurturing for them pets. But I try to understand that it is just a game and won't be obsessed with it as I would have been obsessed with my child.

I feel very protective of mine. I check on them every day, but the experience is not the same as with a real animal. The emotional attachment makes the game fun.

I feel that I can do that. I treat my virtual pets the same that I can treat my children. It's also helping me to learn many ways that my children can be treated so good by me.
