Video games are cool and it’s possible that these games can make you smarter. If you are engaged in playing games like Sudoku and Minecraft, they could help you in solving complex problems and make you think creatively. Also, action games like Call of Duty need quick thinking and if you can master the game, it would make you think so fast.

They can, you can always learn something from games like how to help people from Zelda/Persona or roman numerals from Final Fantasy.

They can if there are problem-solving missions in them. However, too much of them could make you "dumber" as you'll pass off learning a new language or higher mathematics, not really dumber, but never reach the potential you could have if you're always engulfed in a game.

It depends on what games you play. I do not see how a PUBG player or Fortnite player can become smart just by playing these games but if you play real time strategy games, you can certainly become little smart.

Some video games can be super educational. I'm glad you mentioned games like Zelda because they teach how to help others, teamwork, and how to solve problems. I’ve seen games that even teach history, science or math in a fun way.

I’m in agreement that Games can make you smarter. I’ve played a couple of Strategy games that improve my planning skills. Some puzzle games can also boost our problem-solving skill too.

I also discovered that when I played Portal for a long time, it enhanced my thinking ability. It also makes me remember things much better. That's a great impact on me. Historical games like Assassin's Creed teach us about different times and places.

Video games are way by which we have some critical thinking. Games enhanced my thinking ability, giving me an edge to think better and do things so smartly.

I believe some games can make you smarter, solving puzzles, and strategy games. However, if your smart you wouldn't spend all your time playing video games.

Being smart doesn't mean you can sit all day playing video games. Where one can show their smartness are in other spares of life and not on video games.

I partly agree with you, many games can make you smarter. Some examples are puzzles, and strategy games. They can enhance your thinking such as problem solving abilities. But at the same time we should not play too much or rather playing should be done in moderation.

Playing games brings some critical thinking, which has helped me to become a better person in life. This is a great benefit that I never took for granted. Trust me when I say that it is one of the best decisions that I took by beginning to play games.

For a very long time now, it has been suggested that playing video games can enhance thinking abilities. It assists in developing a skill that lets you make the right choices. Such skills are also applicable in real life situations.

Yes, there are some games that can help you become smarter. They can help improve strategic and problem-solving skills.

I do believe very much that there are some video games that actually enrich your mind and enhanced your intelligence capabilities. Strategies like chess, puzzles and over all strategy games do help in improving your mental faculties.

I have played lots of Real Time Strategy games. Those games always demand that one thinks quickly to decide on what to do in thick dilemma situations. And that has helped me in decision making in real life.

I have played Civilization. And I would agree with you totally that it forces you to move many steps ahead. They always force players to plan long term and be flexible as condition evolve. That level of strategic thinking gotten from games has really helped me with making rational decisions under intense pressure.

One of the good things that one can do or gain by playing games is being smart. There are lots of games that tests one mental capacity and being able to survive in such a game could help one become smarter in real life.

Certain games truly challenge the brain in ways you might not immediately notice. Puzzle games, survival games, strategy titles, they encourage you to plan, solve issues swiftly and respond under stress.

I play strategy games and strategy games can help you build soft skills like planning, strategy building and also decision making

They can, but it depends on the game you are playing and how you are playing. Some games improve skills like problem-solving, reaction time, memory, and strategic thinking. Others mainly help with relaxation or entertainment.

So games don’t automatically make you “smarter,” but they can strengthen certain mental skills if you play for a long time.
