Do you do designs on your website?

Some website owners would want to outsource the job of designing their websites to a freelancer while others would wish to do it themselves. Do you normally design websites or feel okay with giving the job out?

I’m not much of a designer myself, but luckily @Evolution is, he’s the one behind all of VPL’s custom themes. We don’t outsource our designs because he’s handled everything in-house, and honestly, he’s got a much better eye for design than I do.


I do know my way around HTML and CSS, so I can tweak and customize stuff when needed. However, designing an entire layout from scratch? That’s not really my lane. I stick to everything else and leave the creative side to him.

I have to be honest, @Evolution has done a tremendous job designing this forum as it is simple and pleasing to the eyes. I give him his flowers for a work well done.

I wouldn't call myself a website designer but I do designs on my website. My websites are built on CMS and I try to do all the customization to create aesthetically appealing website.

This was my old approach to graphic design. These days, I take advantage of AI to improve my graphics, and I love it for that.

AI has helped speed up my workflow, generate new ideas, and enhance designs that would have taken me much longer to create manually. I still appreciate traditional design skills, but AI has become a valuable tool in my creative process.

If AI designs work for you, then there are no issues. The key part is being able to handle basic designs that you will need on your website and it is cool once you are okay with those designs.
