Sandbox-style pet games let players design habitats, stories, and interactions freely. Do you like these types of open-ended gameplay?

I sometimes play Wobbledogs on PC It is a pet game available for PC and Nintendo. It is a fun game

Currently, no. I have played Palmon on mobile, though. It's a city-building and monster-collecting game.

Kind of...? Not really, though.
I like breeding pet games like Flight Rising and Khimeros to see the potentials! It's a lot of fun. I'd count them as sandbox, I think.
I guess you can also say that Story of Seasons and Fields of Mistria are "pet breeding" type of games. The latter, you can breed different colours. The former not so much. But I like taking care of the animals.
I also like pet/monster summoning games like Pokemon, Persona, and Rune Factory, but I don't really know why? I think it has a lot to do with exploration, seeing all the different monster designs, learning the mechanics they come with, and such. On the other hand it's mostly just "I like this and I don't know why."
