In my country, as long as you are 18 years of age, you are always free to make a decision and be held responsible for it. When it comes to making some key decisions about your life, do you make conclusions from advice given by others?

I've asked for some help or at least looked into it more with help of the internet, it's best to go in with some knowledge.

Never take people's advice hook, line and sinker. It's wise to review it with what you already know and find the best way to approach whatever you want to do. Unless, it's what you're 100% clueless about, you are to then use their advice as it's given.

There is no way it is possible for you to know everything in this world and it's the reason why I try as much as possible to seek advice from people that I know are more knowledgeable in what I want to do so that I will have some guidance from them.

Knowledge is power truly! You can't go anywhere without it and it's madness going in blind into something you've never done before. You will be putting yourself up to fail.

When you are no longer learning, you are permanently stagnant in your life and that is not going to be beneficial for you especially when there is a need for you to change.

I take people's advice especially those older than me. My siblings are my advisers too and I can't do anything without them making their thoughts known to me.

I was trained in a way that I don't know it all and it made me to ask for people's opinion before I embark on anything. I can only withdraw from somebody when I am getting mislead from what I told the person.

Old age comes with wisdom!! It pays to listen to your elders because they know better than you do. With their level of experience as a result of their old age comes with information you can't access easily on your own.

As long as the older person isn't grumpy with me when they're giving me advice, I will welcome it with open arms and mind. But if being grumpy is part of who they are, I will stay away from them most likely.

True words @Heatman
When you're not upgrading your knowledge, it's going to difficult to catch up with what's happening around and you can't keep up.

It's only a mad man that wouldn't be willing to learn. I push myself to learn at any cost. This have been one best thing I've done for myself since turning.

I have two few people that I trust and I run to them for advice before I embark on anything because when they give their perspectives, it reveals things that I never considered.
