Libraries have been in existence for a long time and they are still being used very well by so many people.

Even with all the thing technology have improved with being able to read online and soft copies like ebooks, it doesn't stop people from using the library and bookstores to hire/rent books.

Do you still rent or hire books?
 
Yes, I do that always especially when I have my holidays. Going to the local library in the community is the only place I used to go to read and rent books. Even though technology is good, I still enjoy the calmness of the library.
 
It's been quite sometime since I was in a library, but I do tend to download ebooks on my phone. I use the app store on my iPhone to buy them.

I like reading a lot. There's still about 5 or 7 books that I haven't finished reading yet, but I plan on finishing reading them soon. I haven't purchased any physical books in years though.

Can you remember how many years ago it was that you haven't been to the library? It was 2007 I last used the library and it was a Catholic library I was using then.

I still buy physical hardcopies of books as well as ebooks too. I'm very much attached to hardcopies.
 
More like I borrow them...I have library cards and I use them quite a bit to borrow cool books!
Well, I am a bit obsessed with reading and I don't really care whether the book is new or not as long as the content is interesting ^^

There are people that loves to read or download ebooks on their phones and they can finish it without stress and you are one of them.
I find it so difficult to read from my phone unless I am preparing for interviews or anything that warrants it.

Tablets are my usual favourite for reading ebooks because of the increased font size unlike how it used to be on smartphones. I have a problem with reading tiny text fonts.

I don't have a tablet yet, just using my small phone. Worse of it is that I love tiny fonts more than the bigger fonts.
I love hard copy than soft copy because I am good with underlining words in my books.

You're fortunate to love reading smaller font. I think maybe it's because small phone is what you've been using for a while, it made you become very used to tiny fonts.
 
I don't rent books anymore. I used to do that a long time ago before the explosion of digital space. Now, I can have access to any materials I want online.
 
I hire books. I believe that there are a lot of books that I should still read, and hiring them helps me to get more knowledge about what is going on.
 
I have never hired a book in my life. Back in high school, I used to borrow books from my classmates. Nowadays, books are cheaper online. I don't need to rent any book I intend to read. If it is not available for free, I just buy it for few dollars.

I also use my phone with a tiny font, so I get it. I’ve tried switching to a larger size a few times, but honestly, it’s just not for me. I’ve made a few adjustments here and there, but I’ve gotten used to the small text.


You’re right, it probably is from using smaller devices for so long. It really does come down to accessibility though, not everyone reads the same way, and that’s totally fine.


Reading is fundamental, and so is accessibility. That’s why phones come with settings to let you adjust font sizes however you need.

This is so me, lol. I can finish reading an ebook in less than three days.

If you're used to a particular thing, it becomes very common to adjust with it. This is why those who prefer reading physical book copies struggle with ebooks so much.

Digitalization make made life a lot more easier than it used to be.

I agree, but keeping an open mind to changes is one of the best ways to look at things. I love physical books as well, but I'm always opened to trying new things when it pertains to reading.

Some books are also now available in video format, but I learn better while reading. I'll still rent a book from the library if I can't find the ebook version on my phone's book's app.
 
Readers are leaders as they taught me in school and I still stick to that. I rent books when I can as I believe that reading physical books is more encouraging for me than digital ones. That's why I am a customer at the library close to my place.
 
Libraries have done a great job in making books easily accessible to everyone without having to purchase them. I borrow books from libraries or use eBook lending services which are very cost effective ways to explore different books or genres.

I have not had chance to be reading books at the moment, but it is a good idea to borrow books from the library as long as one is going to have chance to read the book that they've gotten.
