Do you struggle to find work as an artist or programmer?

I'm a programmer, but I mostly code for myself. I haven't looked for work in the field in a long time.
I may be open to working on side jobs as long as it doesn't consume too much of my time, because I also need to focus on my projects.

Do you find it hard to get work as an artist or programmer?
 
I'm a math tutor, but my problem is similar to that of a programmer maybe. It's simply tough to get work without high ratings. You can't get nothing on Fiverr or Wyzant without them.
 
Wow, that is a sort after skill and congratulations on acquiring it, i have some basics in programming but I am too overwhelmed to build anything on my own at the moment. I can ask if you do not mind the types of projects that interest you?

The other thing I can say is that you can start marketing yourself even at a small scale so that you build momentum then capitalize on it by belonging to a community that will give you prospects and if possible you just have to build your community. In that way, you will sell from there easily.

Ohh wow, that is great. I have designed a medical-related Headset, its only contact with the body is to the upper body which is the Head and through the ears it should be able to capture the vital signs and display them digitally. With AI incorporation it should be able to project a voice pitch reading the vital signs audibly meaning it may have to be connected to an external speaker. The idea of this device is an extension of the stethoscope but with more functionality.

In our problem statement thesis, our research argues that a patient in the ER should not be subjected to all the noise that goes on in the emergency period when a patient is being attended to in the emergency room and intensive care. We should be able to create a serene environment that aids in building confidence and happiness for the patient and distracts them from worry, panic and depression. This gadget cannot work for those who are deaf
 
I don't know much about programming. I know I just did C, and C++ in my introductory year in college and I am proficient with it. Just with that basic skill, I am always overwhelmed with people that bring coding assignments for me to help them. I have come to realize that programming offers a person a wide range of job opportunities. @Baw$e Which programming languages are you really proficient in and which one do you mostly use?
 
I don't offer work in programming even though I do know some programming as I do not feel I know enough to be able to offer my services.

As an artist or someone who creates graphics, I wouldn't say that I struggle to find work but that is not my main focus for work either so I am happy to get work if someone requests and I can help.
 
As a graphic designer, I didn't struggle to find work because my sister has many friends who needed a flyer to promote their business and create awareness and I am always available besides I don't collect much from them, that's the reason they made sure to bring one or more customers for me to show appreciation.

I don't do paid work, just free work on a free message board service. I run a resource board and I sometimes struggle to think of new code ideas for codes I can create.

It is always great when you have friends or family members that can link you up to where you will be able to get jobs. I believe that is what exactly happened with your sister linking you up with some of her friends who needed flyers from you.

Yeah, I can say she wants to repay me with goodness because not everyone can do such for them or even collect small amounts from them. They were appreciative and I am also grateful for their good thoughts towards me.
 
I am a graphic designer, I believe I can also be called an artist in some ways. One major problem I am having at the moment is having a stable flow of customers both online and offline.
