There are some gamers who can play their favourite video games for hours. This means that they will need to hydrate once in a while until they're done playing. If you're playing your games this way, what kind of energy drinks do you take?

Do you take energy drinks when playing games

I don’t drink energy drinks anymore, but I’ll drink coffee or tea while playing games.

Monster and Red Bull were my go-to choices when I did drink energy drinks though.
I used to take energy drink about 20 years ago but it is something I no longer pay attention to because of the high level of caffeine in them. It makes it very difficult for me to sleep at night.

It's very awesome that you're prioritizing your sleep, which is very essential and making conscious choices especially about what you put in your body.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of energy drinks, but I like to enjoy a good cup of tea when gaming. But I'm also very careful not to overdo it.

I take it occasionally when gaming, most especially during a marathon gaming sessions. I know a lot of gamers take it during competitive matches as well.

Energy drinks can be a very helpful boost especially during the intense gaming sessions. It's also crucial to be mindful of your consumption levels and balance them with water intake to avoid dehydration.

Energy drinks can provide a temporary energy surge, but it's very essential to ensure that you prioritize your health and hydration.

I never drink energy drinks in the afternoon or evenings. I only drink them here and there on weekend mornings. When I was younger I used to drink energy drinks while gaming, but I didn't have a job at the time and I was out of school so I would stay up late.

I drink Monster just as a "soda". I'll buy a 10-pack of the white ones when I go to the store and have up to 2 of them a day, but usually try to keep it at one. Because...
I’ll drink coffee
I also find myself drinking up to a pot of coffee a day too.

My heart is probably not the healthiest... my resting BPM is like over 100. 🤣

I don't know how true this is because I haven't find out yet. I heard that too much intake of energy drink have a negative effect on our health. How true is this ?

I do not like energy drinks and I avoid drinking any drinks while gaming. When I am playing games, I like to concentrate on the game and eating and drinking will come as a great distractions. However, if I need a drink I either drink coffee or soda

It used to be Red Bull that I usually take years ago but I hardly drink any of it now. I tasted one called Fearless not long ago and never liked the taste.

I just read about a new study that states the level of caffeine in your body can determine the likelihood of type 2 diabetes. 😲 I always thought it was sugar.

I like RedBull, but it doesn't give me a proper serving. The cans are so much smaller than the Monster that it makes me feel the need to drink 2, and at the price of more than a Monster in some cases, that's a no for me. It does taste good though.

I also think it's all on sugar too. I would definitely love to have a read of that study if you have access to it. Maybe it's best to cut off drinking energy drinks permanently 🤔?
