Do you take energy drinks when playing games?

It used to be Red Bull that I usually take years ago but I hardly drink any of it now. I tasted one called Fearless not long ago and never liked the taste.
I just read about a new study that states the level of caffeine in your body can determine the likelihood of type 2 diabetes. šŸ˜² I always thought it was sugar.

I like RedBull, but it doesn't give me a proper serving. The cans are so much smaller than the Monster that it makes me feel the need to drink 2, and at the price of more than a Monster in some cases, that's a no for me. It does taste good though.

No, I avoid drinking energy drinks while playing video games unless I was already tired before I started playing. I usually drink water or tea while I'm playing.

I also think it's all on sugar too. I would definitely love to have a read of that study if you have access to it. Maybe it's best to cut off drinking energy drinks permanently šŸ¤”?

I actually went back and re-read the article wrong. It was talking about reduction in Type II, especially with those that have a certain gene that breaks caffeine down slower as it'll stay in your system longer, increasing the fat burn.

But, it did focus on those with a high BMI and stated something along the lines that they were still susceptible to Type II because of the BMI. However, caffeine could help in reducing that. It was more-so a warning to get your BMI down so that you can reap the rewards of caffeine.

I don't have the news tab open anymore to link it though.

To add, I only drink 0-calorie Monsters with 0 added sugar (or 10-calorie as the artificial sugar alcohols make "some" calories, negated by walking into the store and walking out of the store plus the calories that the energy drink would burn through consumption).

I usually go for the sugar free ones. I don't notice a difference in taste.
There's definitely a difference between the Green and Blue monster (which I believe is supposed to be "the same").

But the other sugar free ones, you really can't even tell that they are sugar free. Perhaps, some can, and I'm just too accustomed to tasting them that they are sweet to me, but to someone who consumes sugary drinks more often, they might not be as sweet.

I don't drink energy drinks because they're bad for your heart, or so I've heard.
Iā€™ve heard that from a doctor before as well. Especially when I first got diagnosed with High blood pressure.

Itā€™s one of the main reasons why I stick to drinking coffee or tea.
