Because of advancement in technology, we now have Instant Messengers that deliver messages within a second, we now have downloads that are very fast, devices that respond within a touch and web pages that open within three seconds.

Do you think all this need for speed in the technological sphere has made it difficult for humans to understand waiting and patience in this age?

I don't even understand what you're trying to inquire about. Are you saying it's better to wait and be patient because it's a more human thing to do when it's possible to get things done faster with the use of technology?

There's no connection between having the speed with technology on how humans understand patience or waiting. Patience is a virtue and if a human don't have it, they are to blame, there's no way it's because of technology.

In the past, you sent letters and you know it would take months to deliver. You would be patient for it to deliver. And that translated to people being patient with real life situations.

Nowadays, with technology, things are done so fast. Such that people are so used to speed. If anything in real life demands that people should wait for some time , the people, especially the younger generation won't be able to cope with such things. They would be in distress while waiting. Some might even give up the waiting.

I think so, with so much stuff being fast and on demand, people don't like waiting anymore.

Everything is very fast now. Bank transfers are instant. Messaging is done right there. The younger generation that were born into this digital age don't know what it takes to wait for things. Do people still wait at train stations? No. Departures are scheduled so that people don't wait. The bad side of technology? Maybe.

I believe that technology has eaten deep into our patience as individuals and that's why a lot of people want instant gratification and it is gradually becoming a norm, which is a great concern. Also, with notification pinging constantly, it is expected to trigger rapid response which is also diminishing our patience
