I've heard some people saying there are some times when lying is necessary instead of telling the truth. I only see that as a delay tactics of what's inevitable, why delay it?

I would prefer to hear the truth at all times and deal with it once and for all. If someone ever lie to me, I'll never trust them again.

Would you lie on purpose to justify a situation?
 
I think there is nothing like a good lie because the so called “good lie” may still backfire in the future. So it is better to be truthful and deal with any problem you encountered immediately.
 
When you know that the truth would make a situation worse, you just rather remain silent. I don't believe in lies too. But I don't stupidly say truths without due recourse to the fact the likely outcome. Where I know that truths would make things worse, I invest my silence.
 
There's nothing like good lie even though people normally use lies to calm situations down. It's good to tell the truth and live with the consequences than give a good lie that will still backfire in the future.
 
There is something called white lies. While lies cannot be classified as good lies, sometimes lies can make people happy, sometimes these lies help some people.
 
I think lying is ok only when it comes to a white lie.
Apart from that, it's not recommended and it's just painful at the end

Nah! Lies are only okay when they do not hurt anyone and affect their feelings, but the truth is that lies never pay off.

Errm that's my opinion as well and that's the reason why I support only white lies, just to be polite

For instance, I may consider it a good lie if it involves saving someone’s life or avoiding a pointless conflict.
 
I understand why some lies are considered to be harmless or protective. The thing is, that even small lies may become a big one later.
 
A lie is a lie, there's nothing like good in it as far as I'm concerned. Some choose to cling to the white lie concept but it's all nonsense to me because a lie is meant to be deceiving and there's nothing good about it.
 
Long as the lie doesn't hurt anyone and to keep something good covered up, there is nothing wrong.

Okay, what type of lies would be able to make one happy? Just curious to know.

If it's a good thing, why does it need a lie to cover it? Please make it make sense to me.

Promise of prosperity, even when you know it is not possible, can make a couple happy. Telling kids that they have a fairy godmother watching can make them happy. White lies like these can make kids and adults happy. Hope for the future in itself is a white lie.
 
Good lie may sounds a bit odd but the truth is that it does exist. Consoling someone in a bad time or concealing surprises may also be in that category. It has a risk involved because that minor lies may lead to mistrust later.
