In the past, I used to frequently run into Wikipedia because it was usually the first site showed by Google. I was using Wikipedia to find information and write posts based on that information. Since it is a user generated site, authenticity is doubted. I later started using Encyclopaedia Britannica for information, which was more reliable. Wikipedia is certainly a great starting point to get information to build valuable content for your readers. But I no longer use it.

Do you use it as a source for your content?

Sometimes I'll use it as a source, but not often. When I was in high school we were prevented from using it as a source since literally anyone can edit it. So the information gathered on some pages might not be 100% accurate.

I make use of it as a source site for difficult projects. There are some works that would require me to go the extra mile, assuming I want to achieve everything that I've set out to achieve with the work. For those types, I won't mind making some research on Wikipedia.

When I search something I normally check first few websites. When I see Wikipedia I do check the articles but I don't completely rely on them
