Personally. The only news I follow is on social media these days.

Do you check the news? What's your source for staying updated with the latest news?

I do watch the news because I like to know what's going on in my area and the world. I also like the weather updates. And I will skip the news for a few days if there are too many sad things on their like killing of children which happens often. And it shouldn't happen at all.

I don’t watch the news anymore, but I do read it on my news app that’s on my iPhone. I also keep tabs on the news via social media.

Not really, nothing but trash but I do watch the weather channel which has news sometimes.

I used to watch the news a lot of years ago but since the pandemic and all the wars that have broken out in different parts of the world, I have found that I watch the news less now as I find it gets me down seeing what the news want to push in your face and seeing what is happening.

I only watch the news now if I know something is happening that I want to follow.

We have the same approach. I focus more on social media to get news that I want. There is no need waiting to get news from TV stations as most of them are politically backed.

The news is way too slanted for my liking these days. I try not to watch too much because I never know how much of it is 100% accurate and how much is distorted so that it makes me "feel" angry toward someone. Know what I mean?

I don't watch the news anymore. I make use of my phone always to check weather updates, and things happening in my state and surroundings. I always use Nairaland or Opera to check the news updates.

Yes of course, I still watch news on the TV whenever there's an important update. Although, I don't listen watch CNN or BBC because they are very bias. It's only Al Jazeera that I watch.

I stay well-informed by selecting different news platform for information. Social media serves as one means but I also get information by watching news televisions and reading on online news sites.

Not anymore. It got to a point where there was too much negativity and I couldn't watch it anymore.

I still have the habit of watching news from time to time especially when I'm at home all day.

Facebook gives me all the news

You are doing great, but remember to follow verified accounts as some people on Facebook don't share authentic news, especially the local news.

For the most part, I get news from social media and apps I trust. It is fast and convenient, although I double-check sources to avoid misinformation.

Got to change my answer, been watching the news like crazy of late, nothing but insanity all over the place >_<

With lots of fake news and misleading articles which are clickbaits too.
Exactly. Facebook has way too many click bait articles. I’d rather check the news app on my phone than rely on Facebook for news.🤣

True! Facebook is the last place I'm going to look for any news. If it's memes I'm looking for, it's a good place to look for it but not news.

It kind of angers me how much fake stuff Facebook posts, specially when they post about stuff I've been wanting to hear about like a new season of a show.

If I hear anything that's big "Breaking News" I will tune into a news channel to see what is happening.
Another word.. being noisy. 😀

I always have the feeling to know the authentic and fake news on Facebook. Some blogger's are just doing it to get more likes and followers but misleading people.

I feel it's too much work trying to filter the fake news from the real ones on Facebook. It's why I go through the appropriate channels for news.

The memes on Facebook are a gold mine. They’re one of the main reasons why I check facebook all the time.

I tend to check my news app to see what’s going on in the world. I can see various news sites in one area without having to go to other sites to see all the breaking news.

I rarely check the news these days though unless it’s highly important.

I'll never leave Facebook because of memes. I can find the quality of what I find on Facebook from any other source. It's why my rating of Facebook is still high for now LOL.

I don't have much work to do while checking the news. They have a captivating caption that will interest to read from them but when you start, nobody will tell you that the news are fake or real. Some of these bloggers don't have human sympathy at all. I also read from Twitter too to check what I got from Facebook.

Right now, I'm more interested in football and other sports news more than the main breaking news. Sports world news is what matters more to me because politicians will always do what they want.
