Someone can wear glasses for many reasons. It might for reading, correcting eye problem, sun shade or simply for fashion. I don't like wearing glasses for any reason. The hands hurts side of my head whenever I put on one.

Do you wear glasses for any of those reasons?

I don’t wear glasses myself, but I have two brothers who pretty much can’t see or read without them. My niece also needs them to see clearly. I had a buddy who wore glasses too, but he ended up getting LASIK surgery, so he wouldn’t have to wear glasses anymore.
LASIK surgery is very good for correcting refractive vision problems. Which eye vision problem did your buddy use it to fix? Was it myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism or presbyopia?

I have worn glasses since 3rd grade. I have astigmatism and myopia, and I have difficulty seeing at night, so I try my very best not to drive after sunset. I would not get surgery for three reasons: 1- I'm used to glasses and would have a hard time time adjusting without them, 2- I personally think I look better/more attractive with glasses, 3- I do not want any kind of surgery on my face if I can help it!

If the glasses you're wearing for the astigmatism and myopia which you're suffering is doing a good job and you're very comfortable wearing it, there's no need to get a surgery. I think if you go ahead and get a surgery, it's going affect your self confidence and esteem.

I'm the only one in my immediate family who has never had to wear glasses.

One of my biggest wishes in life is never to have to wear glasses till I get to 65 towards 70 years of age. I have a perfect eye sight now and I hope nothing takes that away from me. I don't fancy wearing glasses at all.

I’m not entirely sure as he had the surgery a few years ago. He had to wear glasses most of the time though and got tired of wearing them.

He works at a eye clinic and the main Doctor told him that the lasik surgery would improve his vision. His vision has been perfect ever since, but recovery took him a couple of months.

Only glasses i wear is reading glasses for when i read a book.
