Great topic! I’ve noticed a growing trend in environmentally-themed simulation games, and I think they’re a fantastic way to combine entertainment with education. Games like Eco and SimCity: Green Cities encourage players to think critically about sustainability and resource management.



I’ve tried a few of these games, and they really highlight how challenging it can be to balance growth with environmental responsibility. For example, managing pollution levels or switching to renewable energy sources while maintaining a thriving community is both rewarding and eye-opening.


How effective do you think these games are at inspiring real-world change? Do they leave a lasting impression, or do players see them as just another challenge to conquer?

I have tried out a couple of eco-simulation games. And yes, EcoCity is one great example where, you have to construct a city that is ecologically safe. SimCity is another example. These games educate us that we need to care for our environment.

I like the idea of more games based on our changing environment, though you have to wonder who really takes to heart in everything going on.

The game that I have played that comes very close to this genre is Terra Nil. It is basically about trying to rejuvenate a landscape that has been totally depleted to a healthy and vibrant ecosystem. The game starts with the player being presented with a barren wasteland to nurture. It is a socially conscious game that makes you conscious of how you manage your environment.

I have tried a game called Eco and liked the way deforestation and pollution was done in that game. It was so real. Now, I'm attached to the game since the first day I played it
