Esports has become a billion-dollar industry and continues to grow due to the financial support it gained. It has a lot of audiences worldwide. There is an increased prize pool and sponsorship deals, plus the better infrastructure it has.

Some of the popular esports are League of Legends, Dota 2, Fortnite, overwatch, Apex Legends etc. I'm curious, what's driving its rapid growth? Share your thoughts!

There is huge recognition of the eSports and that's one of the cause for its popularity. . The COVID-19 pandemic also accelerated its growth because all the traditional sports paused during that time. Including all other physical activities and people resorted to online activities.

Another key factor that is to be considered in the rise of mobile esports is that games like PUBG Mobile, and Clash of Clans have lowered the difficulties of entry

It's crazy how things have progressed from where people would make fun of you for playing video games and say there was no hope of ever making money in it to where now colleges have their own esports teams for various video games from Rocket League to Smash Bros.

I don't care for it, kind of boring to watch and most people tend to waste their lives in trying to achieve first place.

Esports has really blown up in the last couple of years. One of the things that is responsible for it's rapid rise is the popularity of streaming platforms like Twitch and social media. And sponsors are attracted to it because it is a perfect platform to reach out to markets that have younger people. It would continue to evolve and keep rising.

Yeah totally. Twitch and YouTube gave esports that big push. Now everyone wants to get in, sponsors, brands, even schools. It’s crazy how fast it’s grown.
