Games that changed the industry?

A lot of changes have happened in the gaming sector as a result of some games being the reason for those changes. When asked, which games can you say brought a lot of changes to the gaming industry?

Final Fantasy 7 and Zelda OoT were big ones back during the day, then you got GTA always pushing things as well as far as expansive world.

Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto are two game titles that I think helped shape the future of games.

Grand Theft Auto III made open world gaming to be a thing when it introduced a environment that has explorable 3D into the gameplay. PES also revolutionised the sports gaming niche with its introduction of fluid gameplay and tactical depth which other titles in the niche copied and developed.

Call of Duty series of course and Halo series as well as gears of war series. All 3 especially Halo made quite a mark on the industry. I can't count how many people bought an Xbox console specifically so they could play Halo.

I play Minecraft and I believe it has changed the industry. It continues to be most sold games for many years. I have played PUBG and it is certainly a game changer in the industry. I don't play GTA but I can agree about the game being a game changer in the gaming industry.
