I haven't cried in a video game, but I get touched when the story is so emotional. I was moved emotionally by Joel and Ellie's story in Last of Us. It looks so real. My wife cried a couple of times when the game gets too emotional, but I haven't.

What about you?.

Red Dead Redemption 2 made me sad but I didn't cry. Arthur's story was so heartbreaking. So, I loved his friendships and struggles. Life is Strange and What Remains of Edith Finch also made me think so deeply. .

Yep, a few games brought a few tears to my eyes. Final Fantasy 7, Legend of Legaia, and heck even Shadow Generations got me a bit too. I won't spoil that since there might be people here who have yet to play Shadow Generations. You already know which part got me in FF VII, and there's a part in Legend of Legaia where Vahn has a dream and relives the moment when his mom died.

Can't say one ever has, some stories have moved me but nothing to make me tear up.

I am an adult and I know the difference between facts and fictions. facts might bring tears and fictions will never make me cry but I might get overwhelmed with sadness. There are a couple of video games that made me sad.

Nothing has ever made me come close.

Perhaps if the graphics and movements were life-like, that could change, as movies could take me to the point of choking up, but a 3D render as it is, never. But, we're pretty far from that coming true.

I have seen some video games that are emotional! They are capable of making you care about the characters and that's exactly what makes them feel so real. I don't think it's about the graphics.

Also, games like Final Fantasy VII has a really sad story. It's one of the powerful stories that adds realism to the game. It makes you feel for the characters.

No game has ever brought me to tears. Instead, most of the games I play either thrill or scare me. Hehe.

That's fair enough! Not every individual can actually get to a stage of really feeling for the game to the extent of crying. I for one have had my fair share of the emotional gaming moments. There is one that still gets me and that game is called “The Last of Us” it has such a deep and well thought out story and sometimes it is so heartbreaking.

If I cried playing a video game. I would have to rethink my life. I've gotten mad, but I'd never cry over a game.

That's a funny perspective. I’ve never cried over a game but I could feel my heart warm to characters or stories told in some of the games. Nonetheless, games like The Last of Us and Life is Strange make me feel empathy but not to the extent of crying.. Never!

The Last of Us is one game that made me cry even as a strong man. The game's plot has lots of moral dilemmas that would bring out the emotions in a person. Great storytelling.
