I've witnessed where gamers becomes so frustrated at playing a game that they end up smashing their gaming controllers. Have you ever found yourself in this kind of situation..? How did you overcome that urge to break things when you're frustrated at any game?

I have not damaged my controller out of frustration but i've heard stories about gamers getting frustrated and damaging their controllers.

I would think I did when I was young as many times as I banged my head against it when I lost a game.

When I started playing Dark Souls, I thought it was a game that I can easily jump into and decimate everything but it showed me how difficult a video game can be and I ended up smashing one of my controllers back then but I don't do such anymore.

Smashing the controllers is not really a good move. To play the Dark Souls, you need to persevere and keep learning from your mistakes becuase it's a very challenging game.

I've done that before. it happened when I was playing Dark Souls and I just got so frustrated with one particular boss. The next thing is seeing my controller flying across the room😂. But I was lucky it's just a minor scratch.

My controllers have been damaged due to over use but I haven’t damaged due to anger or frustration

I generally walk away from a game and turn it off when it frustrates the crap out of me, lol. I have not damaged any of my controllers.

It is human to get angry when you lose or when you do not progress in the game. However, it is somewhat childish to target your frustrations on a controller. I am not that kind of person

I haven’t damaged my controller while gaming. I don’t do excessive gaming or get frustrated ro the point that I through my controller

I have in the past damaged my controller, but it has not been through rage or throwing the controller when I have been frustrated at a game. Any time that my controller has become damaged, it has been through a lot of use, and the thumbsticks become worn, or they end up getting stick drift.

I recently upgraded to a GameSir controller, which apparently you can not get stick drift with, so it will be interesting to see whether that ends up being the case.
