What games were too hard or difficult to play so you quit them?

For me that game is Elden Ring. I paid $80 for it when it first came out, and thought it would be like Elder Scrolls, but the difficulty of the guys you fight is super hard, so I ended up giving up on the game.

Super Mario sunshine, the last level before the final boss and I could just not beat it no matter what.

Important to mention there is a distinct difference between "Gamer Girl" and "Girl whom Games", I am squarely the latter. Since I'm not amazing at games I usually play them on easy, or story mode. So I've never given up on a game because it was too hard, but there was a game I played a while back that I REALLY enjoyed and was cozy, BUT the frigging thing had a whole meltdown glitch on the very final boss and COMPLETELY corrupted my whole file for the game lol. I chose to mentally burn it in effigy and cast its ashes to Poseidon!

As far as hard games though, Frost Punk anyone? Freaking loved it, but that is NOT an easy game lol. Not hugely intuitive overall. I had to restart it a bunch!

Oh man, that one! That took me days to complete and I feel like i fluked it in the end. 🤣

I give up on most games I play because I don't have as much patience for gaming as others. Unless a game highly fascinates me, I usually end up putting it away.

I kind of gave up on Sonic Unleashed. I'm stuck on Dark Gaia, and it's not even the most difficult phase I'm stuck on... I haven't attempted to beat it in a few months now. I really enjoyed the rest of the game once I gave it more of a chance. I would love to finish it someday.

Mine is Elden Ring. It's a very difficult game, and it's high level of difficulty can be so overwhelming for some players.

The game that had a very steep learning curve for me was Dark Souls 3. I tried and quit more than seven times before I could finally find my way around it. But the one game that I have given up on is Sekiro. It is one game that has really broken me. It requires that one is perfect with parrying. And my patience level can't match that.

Well, some games are very difficult and it takes a lot of time to complete. Some of the games I have played were very difficult and it took me a long time to complete, however, I have never given up on any game just because of difficulty.

I still don't understand why they made that game to be that difficult. It is a good souls game no doubt, but one would need to put a lot of efforts towards achieving progress while playing the game.

I've given up on game severally because the time it takes from me is not what I can relax and continue.
There are several games that I persisted and finished while they are some that I just gave up on

Yeah, Elden Ring can really test your patience, I remember trying it for weeks and almost dropping it too. Some bosses just feel unfair sometimes. But I like your spirit though. If you never give up, it really makes it satisfying when you finally beat it. I had that same rush when I finished Sekiro. It felt like pure victory.

I never focus on beating a game 100%. I'm playing to have fun, if I get to beat the game 100% by the time I'm done, it's a bonus.

I've not given up on any game. I am only interested in having fun whether I'm at the last level or not, it doesn't look like a defeat to me.
