Blogging is something I’ve done in the past, and I actually enjoyed running one for a while. I’ve been thinking about launching another one sometime next year, though it may or may not happen. If I do go ahead with it, it’ll be a place where I share my thoughts and write about random topics.

What about you? Have you ever run a blog before? What was it about?

I had a network of blogs that were in the same niche and linked to one another with keywords that helped them rank well for the niche.

The method no longer works, but, it brought in some great AdSense when it did.

I don't have a personal blog because I think my day-to-day life is boring. However, I've gone through some more interesting stuff in my life, and I think an autobiography might be interesting. Perhaps not monetizable interesting, but it might be interesting to read for some, especially those who want to join the military or have served. Though, the military might change by then where the things we got away with won't be tolerated anymore (or isn't now), and might not hit that audience. It might have nostalgia for older readers though.

No I've actually never ran a blog before but it sounds interesting. It might be fun to blog where do you guys host your blogs?
I hosted it my old blog on Blogger. It’s owned by Google.

I also used Wordpress before on a different blog that I owned. Wordpress has more customization options than Blogger.

Come to think of it, I didn't actually think of it as a blog because I was writing articles on local attractions.

But from 2016-2020ish, I posted articles on local attractions, how much they cost, etc.

It wasn't very lucrative, only bringing in the VPS cost per month (around $30) with AdSense.

However, I'm thinking of taking the backup and reuploading it just so that I can add to my AdSense earnings for as long as it stays up.

That sounds fascinating! I've also considered starting a travel blog soon. I like adventures, but haven't taken the leap yet.

Yes, blogging could be used to improved your writing skills and can take it to the next level. I do this and it has really broadened my reading tastes. My advice for you is to start small and be consistent.

A few years back while I was in school, I thought about starting a blog so I could monetize it, thinking it was a fast way to make money. After a few days I came to realize blogging is more than just writing and expressing yourself, you have understand and make use of keywords, SEO and so on. After a while I gave up.

Yes, I used to run some blogs. I was able to monetize one of them, which was about travel. I shared my domestic travel experiences in this blog and earned them through Google AdSense, affiliate marketing, and by writing some reviews. Unfortunately, I could not renew it because of financial issues and health concerns. I hope to get back to it before December.
