Threads are a recently launched Twitter-like microblogging platform ( or a social blogging and social networking platform), recently launched by Meta. The platform already has 10 million users. The platform is also under hot water for intellectual rights and Musk has threatened to sue. Have you started using it?

Its kinda cool to have a new app linked to instagram where i can do text posts now but same

Ive been on Twitter for 2 years now so I’ve got 2 years worth of activity on that platform.

I like it so far. It feels like old Twitter and old Reddit mixed together. It needs some work still and I hope they plan to make a web app for it, but so far so good! The Instrgam route is odd and you'd think they would just push their Meta accounts, but who knows.

I don’t understand Zuckerberg logic either.
Now that he has rebranded to Meta you would definitely think that then again it’s probably too complex since both platforms have a separate userbase.

Yeah, I have an account on Threads already with about 23 followers so far. It must be very annoying for Elon Musk seeing his Twitter users share their Threads account profile to get followers from his platform.

I've noticed a few people have left Twitter.
My following count was a t 320 down to 301.

It was the daily limit crap Elon Musk did on Twitter that broke the camel's back. He went too far there with that crap policy.

I was on Twitter last night and it was crashing i just wish he leave the app as staff entirely and go back to what he does best because it’s not Twitter.

Social media management isn't for him. He lacks what it takes to do it. He just got into the mix because he wanted to rival Mark Zuckerberg dominance in the sector.

I have started using threads and honestly I think it's much better than Twitter. There's no character limit so I can make long posts and it's not owned by someone who doesn't know what he's doing. 😛

I downloaded threads when it first came out, but I don’t use it anymore. Facebook really missed its mark trying to compete against twitter.

Couldn’t agree more when you are different you will succeed no point completely copying everything.

Yes I started using thread recently and I did not see anything that stood out and what is so annoying is that you cannot message people directly and it's like it is connected to other Meta’s platforms.

It definately has changed overtime, the engagement and platform is a lot more active than it was in 2024. I've been using it a lot more than before. However, Twitter is still a tad bit more in the active side. However, Threads is gaining ground on them.

I like the community aspect of Threads better than Twitter. I've met more people on there than on Twitter, but Twitter still holds a lot of value with me as well. It's not a daily app for me anymore though.

I don't like Threads even though I have the app. I don't know if there's anything I can do on that because having Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp is already enough for me.

I created an account on Threads but I can't say I use it at all since I signed up.

I downloaded the Threads app immediately it was launched because I was excited to see what the Twitter competition would be like then. I've been using it since.

Up till now. I am yet to create a account on Threads. I don't just see anything attractive about Threads that would attract me to use it. I think I am just comfortable with X. And I don't even like Meta services these days.

I signed up for Threads but hardly use it because I often use Instagram and X . Threads seem redundant to me for now.

What are your thoughts on the community that Threads has compared to Twitter? Do you think one has the better one over the other?

I did use Threads, but it's one of the only social media sites of it's type that I don't check anymore.

I am using Threads, it was a bit strange to me at the beginning but it started to make sense later on. It has a lot of activities and I can attest that the app is getting better by the day.

How has the experience been so far? Is it as active as twitter?

The first time I heard about it, I didn't bulge to do anything concerning it but now, I have an account on Threads but I don't know what's happening there. I am more comfortable with other social media than Threads.

I have used Threads briefly. I’m still finding it a little difficult to understand how it works, but I have read some interesting updates there..

I don't enjoy making use of it as well. I think I've got an account there, but I am inconsistent when it comes to logging in and all of that. I prefer the X App, Blue-sky and Insta sometimes.

Threads is a very active social media sites now. It's growing so big to compete with X but it's going take a while to be on top of the food chain.

I can't fathom how it works, people are not even talking about it but what I know is that updates are there but the updates I enjoy more are from Twitter or Facebook.
