Do you have a habit of saving money? I know a lot of people who are not good at saving money. They are always finding themselves in debt every now and then. I try as much as possible to save at least 20% of all my monthly earnings.

How much money do you make effort to save every month?

I can't save money because I live on a fixed income and there is no money to save. But if I had extra money, I would do what you do and save 20%.

We do about 20% for the most part. Some months we run a little harder on the bills.

I save thirty percent of my salary monthly. I don't enjoy not doing this because I believe that it is a good way to plan for the future.

I'm bad at saving money. I do try to budget my money when I spend.

Most people just over spend using credit cards and get in trouble.
Correct! This is why I don't like using credit card because the temptation to spend more will be there always.

I'd say I save a good amount of money, most of it is just not by eating out and buying bulk items to make most of my meals.

Being able to save money and know you have saved enough gives a great feeling. It gives me so much confidence in myself.

I'm trying to set aside some each month for paying debts and savings. It's a first for me. I'm really not into saving. Anyway, what I set aside is around 200 USD.

If you make more money, it's going to be easy for you to save more. Try and expand your streams of income. This will boost your chances of making more money and saving too.

Due to the cost of living, as much as I can put away some money each month, it is not as much as it used to be. I long for the days when prices are lower and I can start saving more each month again.

I don't think we are ever going to see that because the price of everything keeps going up and not down. Seems like every time I go to the grocery store there is a price increase on something.

I think my saving started with 20% and if things can go back to normalcy and the pay get higher, I can increase my savings too.

This is a very good plan by the looks of it. If it's possible for you to get more income streams and not depend on only one source, it's going to be very helpful.

I systematically save thirty percent from my monthly wage. The automatic system for saving money keeps me on my financial path. The savings habit enables me to achieve financial stability especially when I needed money so badly.

Adding more streams of income to your earning is the only solution to this your situation. If you earn more, you can be able to save more.

It is not easy to save at all, especially when you have needs that require you to spend. The fair part is when you are able to handle how you manage the money, which you said you are good at.

I said I try to manage my money. I never said I was good at it 😂

I try to save anywhere from 15 to 20% based on the expenses incurred in a given month. I have found that automating the transfer of money right after the payday to a savings account really works wonders.

Sure, that's a good bet. I am working on that to have other sources that can get more income for me. Just hope that my plan work out the way I want.

I have a cd with my bank that has been collecting interest for the past three years, which I don’t see myself ever taking out unless it’s really necessary.

I also have some crypto stored on some apps and a few that I mine as a part of my savings plan.

We save our income tax. Every year it goes into our savings account and we save that for a rainy day. We know we're going to need that for something so we don't go out and spend it the moment we get it (we meaning myself and my hubby). The way our luck runs, if we spend it all then something will need fixing or replacing and it'll cost us an arm and a leg if we don't have the money for it. So we leave our income tax in our savings for things that might break. Because we save that money, stuff rarely breaks or needs replacing. But if we didn't have that money, then stuff will break and it will cost us twice as much because we didn't have the money at the time.
