Searching for new music to add to my playlists is something I like to do often, whether that’s by browsing social media, Spotify, or YouTube. I’m a music lover through and through. As long as the lyrics and beats are great, I’ll listen to the song.

I used to not be a fan of country music, but now there are some artists I’ll listen to, like Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, and Will Dempsey. I’m mainly a die-hard fan of rap, hip-hop, and R&B music though.

However, these artists have some great songs as well. I have a few of their tracks on my Spotify now.

What about you? How often do you generally add new songs to your playlists? Do you go on the hunt for new songs quite frequently, or not really?

Have there been any new songs you’ve come across lately that are good? If so, which ones are they?

I try to hunt for new stuff a couple times a week, just because I'm always looking for a new good jam. I mostly click the Pop and Country New Songs though.

I will always recommend Jackson Wang; his solo albums Mirrors (2019), MAGIC MAN (2022; has elements of Rock music in it) & MAGIC MAN 2 (2025 - not released yet) are pure perfection. He's a KPOP star from the group GOT7 (he's classed as Hip Hop/R&B) but if you're not interested in KPOP, the three albums are in English as to not deter you from listening. (if you want specific song recs lemme know!)

I haven't been too impressed with the latest Country releases tbh.

Renee Rapp is always a good Pop choice.

I haven't been looking of late, got a ton of music on hand that I'm enjoying and sadly sites that I would discover songs on is long gone 🙁

I never seem to be searching for new music; I listen to playlists that play songs similar to bands I like, and they mostly come up with the bands I know and love.

I am always on the lookout for new music ,and just this past week, BTS member Jin dropped his new album ,and he has a ton of great songs on there that I have listened to so many times already I have lost count 🙂

I've got some wonderful music libraries and I'm not actively searching for new ones presently, but I've been stumbling upon some new songs through my friends or the playlist.

As a music producer myself, I set notifications on some music blogs so that I am immediately notified when some artists drop new songs. I am always in the hunt for new songs so that I can follow the trends and patterns the music industry is going and replicate same.

I search for music on YouTube daily with the artists that I like, and when I see a song that peaks my interest, I'll check it out.

I don't always go out looking for new songs. My Spotify app does it for me always.

My Spotify streaming app makes it very easy to have access to new songs and albums without having to look for it myself. The songs pop up over my homepage everyday.

I'm using both Spotify and Boomplay, they are good in showing new songs before the older ones. Boomplay will give you some hit songs immediately you opened the app.

I’m always trying to find new tunes to listen to! Streaming platforms, music blogs and social media are where I find most of my new music. What also interests me is discovering new artists and genres to keep myself informed about all the latest happenings in music.

I'm always on YouTube even while I have other apps for listening to music. People's comments are what I read so that I will know the recent songs to download.

Not that often.
However if I do come across interesting music or catchy songs then I would usually search for them.. And then add them to my playlists.

Well, I don't look for new music. My favorite artists and bands are from the 60s, 70s, and the early 80s. I listen to very few modern artist and Adele is one of them.

Mine is opposite as I'm always on the lookout for new music. I use streaming platforms like Spotify to discover new artists and genres. I also love getting music recs from friends too.

I'll have to check these albums out. Thank you!

What latest country releases would you say aren’t so good? I rarely follow country music, but I’ll play an entire album if there’s a good track or two.

R&B songs are my favorite as well along side Rap. I probably have more r&b songs on some of my playlists compared to rap.

Which blogs do you like to use to find new music? I like XXL magazine, Complex and Hiphopweekly.

I used to never consider listening to new music, always the same songs and artists on repeat. However, now I use Spotify's DJ and AI playlists to listen to songs I otherwise wouldn't come across. Most of the time I continue to listen to the music I know, but sometimes I want to hear something new but similar to the music I always listen to.

I am of the belief that streaming platforms have made listening to songs a bit fun right now. It is better than we used to have in the past.

I actually used Spotify’s dj for the first time a couple of days ago, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed the songs that I came across thanks to the DJ. I’ll definately be using the DJ more frequently.
