I think Sega is taking a good approach to adding new content to Sonic Racing Crossworlds every few months or so, new characters get added to the roster and with that new tracks also get added to the game too. It's spaced out enough so it doesn't feel overwhelming. Fortnite also does a good job spacing out their seasons too.
