I was in my late 20s when I played my first pet game, Although it wasn't a virtual pet game, it was still a pet game. And it got me thinking about how old were other people when they started their first pet game. So, my question to you guys is how old were you when you played your first Virtual Pets game?

I was around 23 when I played mine, and it was a virtual pet game. I wasn't into such games at an early age, but playing it then made me get addicted to it, and I've been playing for long now.

I think I was 12 or 13 when I first got started with Neopets, and then I also discovered VPL.

I know I was in my mid-late teens when I first started playing my first virtual pet game. Thinking back to that sure does bring back memories!

I was 13 when I started playing pet games for the first time. Neopets was the first pet site that I played. After neopets, I played Powerpets, Marapets, Subeta, Creatureworld, eCritters, PetGamer, Venetopia and Zetapets.

There was a lot of pet sites that I played from 2003-2010. 2003 was the first year that I started playing pet sites. I still play them to this day, but I’m not as active on that many games as I used to be.

The pet gaming industry has changed a lot since the early 2000’s. I remember when games didn’t have customization of pets and human avatars, but now they’re a big time feature.

Approximately 11, creating my Neopets account in 2001! My account is older than most Gen Z folks! And I still have access to it!

I have grown before I knew about Virtual pets games. I think I was around 24 years.

Playing pet sites as a teenager definitely brings back a ton of memories, especially all bonds I've made over the years. It’s great to see that the industry is still going strong.

There’s nothing better than seeing more games being created, along with fresh ideas being brought to the table. It’s even better seeing new generations getting to enjoy the same kinds of games we grew up loving & we continue to play along side them.. ^_^

I believe I was 8 in 2005 and that's when I started playing. It was love at first click, I couldn't get enough. I used to sneak into my family's "computer room" before school so I could log on to Webkinz. I would have my dad physically print out my club's homepage on Marapets and laminate them (not quite sure why I wanted that lol). I remember daydreaming about becoming an administrator one day on DogRealm because that was status. My grandma helped me collect so many of the Neopet's toys from McDonald's!

I'm grateful that I found pet sites when I did. I was bullied a lot as a child and these sites were my only reprieve. Additionally, as someone born in a very small town with not so openminded parents, these sites taught me a lot about the world outside of my bubble. Oh, and they gave me a rudimentary understanding of HTML/CSS a few years before my peers learned it for MySpace.

I was quite old when I was introduced to pet sim games. I think it was when I was about 18 years old. The first one I played was My Talking Tom on Android. That made me pick interest in pet sim games and I had to start exploring more advanced ones on PC.

I was 10 or 11 when I first started playing with neopets. It's amazing how these virtual pet games can make bonds that are strong and lasting memories.

I can still remember the first day I played. It was so interesting and I'm so happy to see how the industry has been evolving and new games have been created over time.
