I'm Theo aka Storm, and I'm someone who really likes virtual pet games because they remind me of the old internet where people would mainly use forums to talk. I'm here mainly because of the appeal from forums, I think that virtual pets are an excellent way to incentivize people to keep returning to the forum and also a great way of making sure that more people join, and I lowkey wish that more social media sites used virtual pets instead of blue checkmarks or badges or avatars to incentivize people to keep returning.

I also want to create my own virtual pet game, I'm hoping I can revive the genre with it, and encourage people to use forums more. I don't want to talk about it too soon though.

Outside of the internet I draw and write.

Welcome to the community! @theoscout. I do agree with you on this one. It would be pretty neat if social media added virtual pets on their apps. It would make them a lot more fun and entertaining.

There's actually three frameworks that are currently available that you can use to help you get started if you'd like to use them in the near future to help you build a pet site:
Simpets Framework by @Milly Money
Petcore by @Ittermat along with KittoKittoKitto, which is being developed by OwlManATT. A new version is currently in the works as well.

I can't wait to see what you develop. ^_^
