This is what i’ve been looking to get answers to, but based on what I found out , these are my thoughts;

- A game's visual style can enhance immersion.
- It can convey tone and narrative so easily. And,
- it can distinguish the game from others with ease

What are your thoughts?

I think that the visual style and gameplay are intertwined. A very unique visual style can help make the gameplay more engaging.

It's important to know that visual style can help to influence how we perceive gameplay. For example, a game with a beautiful, vibrant art style can make a very challenging gameplay more enjoyable.

For me, gameplay mechanics matter more because they decide whether I keep playing. Visual style grabs my attention first, but if the mechanics feel shallow, interest fades quickly. Great visuals attract players, yet strong gameplay is what builds lasting engagement and makes a game memorable.

Visuals are as important as the mechanics but if you want to know which one is more important, I would say mechanics are more important. After all mechanics determine whether the game is play worthy or not. Visuals are just decorations.
