The rise of smart technology seems to be solving many problems that man used to engage their brains to solve. For example, we now depend on navigation tools instead of memorizing directions. Home Assistant tools help us a lot with basic tasks. People are now using AI to help them make decisions.

Do you think the evolution of the smart technology is making humans less intelligent/ smarter?

Smart technology isn’t making humans less intelligent; it’s shifting focus from memorization to problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

Absolutely! It has made life better and easier. Humans are also improving on their intelligence which is also very good.

Oh yeah, more and more want to learn less because they can just google/AI search it.

Yes, it does because look at what AI is doing. A lot of people no longer fancy using their brain to think and write in content generation. AI does all the work which the over lazy ones copy and paste it that way.

We really have an issue in our hands. High school students are studying less nowadays. I mean study in the form of read books. They just rely on AI for every information they need on the spot. I think AI is really making humans lazy.

I believe so. Especially if certain humans aren't using their critical thinking skills and totally relying on AI software to write their content, etc.

In order to keep your brain healthy, you have to stick to your own thinking. When you replace that thinking with AI software, or smart technology, you start losing some of your brain power.

I believe that smart technology is making us smarter and lazy simultaneously. I can learn anything online in a few minutes, yet we can forget simple things so easily since our phone does most of it for us. It is valuable, but we shouldn't rely on it too much.

This summed it up. People are looking for easier ways to get things handled and that is for me, a great improvement and not a sign of humans becoming lazy.

Anybody that said that smart technology is making humans to be less intelligent or smarter is lying. Technology are there to help out life easier not to mess with it.

Yeah, that’s true. Tech was made to help us, not confuse us. I get your point, it’s not really about making us dull or smart, it’s about how we use it. To be fair, I’ve learnt so many skills from online tutorials, but I also find myself forgetting simple things I used to do manually. Balance is key because technology actually save time, but we still need our brains intact too.

There are more to learn with technology if we put our energy on it. It's true that one can forget those simple things they used to do manually but it's not the fault of technology. It will be our fault if we rely completely on technology to do everything.
To keep my brain intact, I will first do that by myself and then ask for help from AI because it makes the work look more sharper.
