Hiii everyone! You can call me L.
I’m looking for a new pet site, as my favorite one is rumored to be shutting down after September.

I found Icepets way too late (in April) which is crazy because I’ve been pet gaming since forever and I’d straight up just never even heard of them before. Absolutely heart breaking, as I spend so much time on that site. If I knew a thing about running a site, I’d offer to buy it myself!

I’m looking for a similar site!

I WAS on Subeta (yeah that’s a long depressing story LOL)


Looking for suggestions! For sites similar to those 3! I’m VERY picky about pet artwork and the general look and feel of the website.

Idk I read up on it and I guess the owner had a hard time selling the first time and feels discouraged when it comes to selling again…

If I knew a single thing I’d snatch it up in a heart beat!!

I’ve looked into Flight Rising but I’m not that into dragons. Also just learning about Xanje and they look cute!
Will definitely look into the other 2.

So far Santae looks right up my alley!! I applied for Alpha but really I’m just excited for the site in general. It looks really well done.

It's not quite open yet but you might like Oripets when it does open. One I am working on now that is a more traditional pet site. Most of the ground work is laid out already, but I am trying to finish up a basic quest system and a couple other minor things beforehand so hopefully soon. I ended up starting the trades system since it will also be useable for my other game, so I have to finish that up too before I get back to finishing up the questing but hopefully soon.

It currently has multiple pets already with many petpets as well. Your pet can have multiple petpets and chat with them, they have a relationship which changes the responses received back. Different pet colors you can earn (and you can switch between your unlocked pet colors anytime) a care system for basic needs including hunger, happiness, and grooming. Pets have likes and dislikes for all the items, which can change over time, i.e. play with the same toy over and over with no break in between and the pet will get bored of it, or they might start to get used to something they didn't like, or they can really start to hate it.

There are pet pages with a live editor to play around with. Shops and galleries which can also be styled with css. Eventually hoping to add in user contests for these but that is not a pre beta feature. There are multiple mini games to earn coins. Multiple areas done on the world map which some different unique points of interest for dailies interspersed between shops. Hidden avatars are already a thing, with just a few to start (and I need to get the art added in) including some defaults ones.

A basic message system and forums are already in place too. And then a lot of stuff in progress or to come as well.

Ahh, I heard about that situation too regarding the first time he sold it. It’s really unfortunate.

I’m currently an Alpha tester for Santae, and they’re planning to enter Beta in October. Their concepts and features are off to a good start. Hopefully, they should be able to launch to the public sometime next year.
