The loot box regulations are meant to prevent gamers from predatory monetization and prevent exploitation but some have argued that it stifles game development due to overregulation. Do you believe so?
Where do you stand?

Transparency is very necessary because the players need to distinguish between cosmetic and pay-to-win loot boxes. The cosmetic items don't have a negative impact on the gameplay, while pay-to-win items create unfair advantages.

I think regulation can protect players, especially younger ones, from manipulative spending systems. Random rewards can be exciting, but when monetization starts resembling gambling, it crosses a line. Good regulation should keep the fun of surprise mechanics while making systems fairer and more transparent.

There is a big difference between gaming and gambling, when loot boxes are implemented in games, the game will not be purely game, it will be some form of gambling. Since loot boxes are categorized as gambling, some countries have started to regulate loot boxes in games

Loot box regulation aims to protect players from gambling-like mechanics, especially younger audiences. I see it as consumer protection, however, I have also seen people argue that excessive rules could restrict player choice.
