Khimeros has introduced a new feature animated Khimbits.
First off, Hazer has gifted us with a shiny new upgrade to our crafting/NPC system! Take a look at Flora, our newest NPC, and you'll appreciate being able to view the results and rarities of each crafting recipe at a glance! You can also now see exactly which crafting components you have on hand for a recipe and which you do not. NPC shops can also now sell items for beads, trinkets, AND activity points!
In an effort to consolidate NPCs/shops into one cohesive system, the Chrysalis Cave has been migrated to the new NPC system and the Majestic Leonine chrysalis is now available in the cave for activity points. We've also added a new monthly perk of a random chrysalis available to purchase for trinkets. This month's chrysalis is the Cernu!
More functionality will be coming to the NPC shops soon!
New Feature - Animated Khimbits/Khimbit Blossoming
It's time to officially release the new Khimbit "blossoming" system! Blossoming khimbits come in sets attached to a starter item in the form of an enchanted statue. The "Enchanted Kittu Statue - Summer Treats" is the inaugural item, and is available in Flora's shop for 200 activity points! There are 16 khimbits in this set, 14 of them animated, and you will need to collect or purchase craftable components to complete the full set, in this case the 10 Drippy Popsicle items.
Everyone was given a feature-release gift of one Drippy Popsicles Crafting Pack, which contains two full sets of Drippy Popsicles, which you will need for crafting, and one random deco popsicle. Popsicles are also dropping around the site via the Lounge, Dice, Khimera Release, Pin the Tail on Arabasti, The Minstrel, and Dunk the Twins games. You can purchase additional Crafting Packs in the cash shop for 1 bead each. If you don't have enough activity points or don't want to wait, you can also purchase the Enchanted Kittu Statue - Summer Treats item in Flora's shop for 2 beads.
Note: Currently, while animated khimbits will animate in both deco and the den, you can only use them in one place at a time. If you want to collect them in your den, you will need to add them to the den from inventory, but they will not work in deco from den the way non-animated khimbits do. In order to use the animated khimbits in deco, you will need to put them into your deco chest and choose them from the "animations-animated" menu.
New Crafter
In order to create the new animated khimbits, visit our new NPC, Flora, the Khimbit Warden! You can find her linked under "World" in the main navigation menu.
You will need to craft your way through 3 levels to obtain all of the khimbits in the "Summer Treats" collection, starting with the "Level 1" recipe. The results of each recipe will show a rotating image in the shop, and you can click on them for a larger preview that includes any animation they may have. By viewing the ingredients list for each recipe, you can see which results from the previous level are required to move up the two paths, which in this case originate with the Orange Cream Kittu and the Orange Dream Kittu.
Enchanted statues appearing in Flora's shop for activity points will be available to purchase for roughly two months from their release date, and crafting components will also be removed from site activities at this time. Crafting packs will remain in the cash shop for an additional month to allow people to finish up their sets.
