Anxiety and depression can be a very difficult situation. To get out of this, you need to seek help from a counsellor. They can be of great help, and you can also engage in exercise, drawing or playing music, it can even help to lift your mood. I also find taking a walk to be very effective as well.

How do you deal with anxiety and depression?

If I feel sad, I find writing to be very helpful. I use it to transport myself from reality. If you are depressed, try talk to your friends and don't ever hide your feelings.

It's not easy, dating someone who is really seep deeply in the issues and its tough a lot of days. Best thing to do is have someone who will give you support.

I sleep when I feel depressed and down. I mean, that is the only way that I have been able to handle it since I don't have enough money to be visiting a therapist each time that I feel that way.

I have to take medication for anxiety and depression because it's clinical, so it seems. I had it very rough in my teenage and early twenties in terms of anxiety and depression. I was always feeling so low, lacked energy, had consistent anxiety attacks, and felt like I wasn't good enough for anything. Keeping busy pursuing your hobbies, being around supportive people, or taking occasional naps can help.

To be around supportive people is very important if one is looking at getting away from depression. That is one of the ways you can get some form of encouragement from those people on why you should feel better about yourself.

Thankfully I have very supportive parents. Granted, they didn't always know how to deal with my mental health when I was bad off, but I know they've tried the best they can.

The most important thing is that you realised that they did their best. Even when the efforts wasn't giving you the joy that you wanted, it is necessary to understand that they did their bits and that was what you did.

I have social anxiety myself, but I find that the more I do things the better I get at overcoming my fears. For example I still struggle going inside stores by myself. I get all flustered and worked up for no reason really. It's the same for talking on the phone. I'm sure if I talked on the phone more I would get over this fear.

I like that you are making all the efforts at getting better at it. It was something that one would wish to do especially when they are anxious about doing something.
