Re-introduction? Kinda? Hello!

I've been on prior iterations of VPL off and on for like, over a decade, but it's been a while so I figured I might as well say hi!

I'm Myst! Like many people here I've been playing virtual pet sites since good ol' Neopets in the 90s/00s, and I used to draw for a few of them, too. Did some art for Kaylune (dead), Sobapets (dead before it was really alive), Starbits Pets (a site my friend made, reborn as Ibbits, has been in limbo for a decade), and Icepets. Other than those, I also played AfterMathZone, Nutrinopets, Mistic Pets and a handful of others over the years.

I have fond memories of my very first art sale for real, non-virtual money being on this very forum, back in 2010 or so? At least I'm like 99% sure it was VPL, I don't recall many other virtual pet dedicated communities. I sold an item set of chocolate Easter bunnies at auction hahah. Always had a dream of opening my own small petsite to mess around with learning coding but I have too many hobbies as is so we'll see if that ever happens.

Anyway, happy to be back! I've currently been dabbling in Dappervolk, Santae and Flight Rising mostly, but I have friends trying to drag me into Howrse and Subeta.

Santae reminds me a bit of Kaylune. They’re off to a great start, and I’m excited to see what they’ll achieve when they open to the public next year.

Wait wait wait AMZ is Exabyss?? How did I miss that? I made an account on Exabyss ages ago and totally never made the connection! I’ll have to give it another shot!!

Yeah, Santae has been doing a fantastic job so far! Loving the species and color designs and fishing/gathering mechanics in particular. I’m excited to see where they go!
