Road trips vs. flying – which is better?

If you’re planning a trip, would you rather drive or would you rather fly to your destination?

Road trips help you see a lot areas and are great for sight seeing, but flying is also nice. I’ve flown a lot over the years, but I’m not much of a fan of taking long road trips.

What about you? Would you rather fly or take a long road trip?

I've been on a couple of road trips, and the reality is that I had so much while on it. I look back, and I can count, enjoying myself on those trips. There was a memorable one that I had with my favourite person and it was so much fun being there.

I prefer road trips over flying. You can drive through towns and stop at any time

It depends on how far the trip is. I wouldn't drive on a trip that's going to take more 15 hours for me to reach my destination. I will prefer to fly.

I enjoy flying, please. Moving from one city to another having fun is an experience that I relish a lot.

You're right about how expensive it is to fly. I'm sure that's why some people will hardly consider it when they can drive to where they wanna go.

As long as I am not the one that is driving, I will always choose to go on a road trip than flying to wherever we are supposed to go to.

There are places where you can find deals on plane tickets, especially on Price line, expedia and hopper.

It’s a lot more expensive if you purchase direct flights from the Airline itself, which I don’t recommend.

It's almost 2 years since I was last on a flight. I'm going do something about it before the end of this year I hope.

Maybe when I'm going back to my base, I will book a flight instead of using a bus that's going to take me about 8-9 hours.

Road trips are my jam any time anyday. I love it because of the bliss of getting out on the road, discovering certain hidden gems along the way, and stopping if you feel like it. Air travel may be faster but it doesn’t allow you go through the journey.

As long as I am not going to suffer being in a traffic jam, I don't have any problems with going on a road trip. Unfortunately, my country doesn't have good road network.

It depends on what I'm doing. If I'm going to a specific place, then I'll fly. If I'm going on a road trip then I'd rather take a mobile home or something.

Planning ahead of time and having your flight booked saves you a lot of stress and even hassle unlike trying to do it a day before your flight. I will never take that chance.

I like road trips better than flying myself. I'm not afraid to fly, I just think it's cool to see different cities via driving through them and stopping by different landmarks. Sure it takes longer but it's cooler IMO.

Anyone who enjoys driving will prefer road trips because all they have to do is seat back, enjoy and take lots of pictures.

I never been flying, so I can't speak on it, but I do like road trips, especially with lot's of Herbal medicine(I wont be driving). I think would enjoy flying more though, especially if I could afford first class.

It depends to be honest.
My family loves long drives! However time is everything and it depends on the trip time and family availability as well.

Sitting down for hours on a road trip is not something that I am very comfortable with. I would prefer and land in my destination within minutes. It would cause great discomfort having to sit on a road trip for up to six hours. I would rather go for the option of flying to same destination within 30 minutes.
