Hi everyone! I wanted to share an early look at Sensipets, a cozy virtual pet site I’m rebuilding (again).
Sensipets is meant to feel like a classic browser pet site: adopt pets, collect items, explore different areas, play mini-games, decorate your account, interact with NPCs, and slowly build up your little corner of the world. The current version is still very much in alpha, but the foundation is coming together and I’d love to start sharing progress with other virtual pet site fans.
The world is set across the Shattered Isles, a soft fantasy setting with different regions, shops, activities, and characters. I’m aiming for a warm, playful style — cozy fantasy, colorful items, rounded UI, and a modern mobile-friendly layout while still keeping the charm of older pet sites.
Some of the areas/features currently being worked on:
- Pet adoption and pet profiles
- Inventory, shops, item use, and collecting
- World exploration across the Shattered Isles
- Fishing and gardening activities
- Mini-games like Lexicle, Elementals, and Memory Match
- Forums, messages, user profiles, trades, auctions, and user shops
- NPC-driven locations and daily site activities
I’m especially interested in feedback on:
- Does the overall style feel inviting for a classic pet site?
- Which features would make you most excited to check in daily?
- Are there any old-school pet site mechanics you miss and would love to see return?
