Hey everyone!

My last Sensipets update covered music streaming and dynamic themes. That was only a few weeks ago, but the game has grown a surprising amount since then.

The biggest change is that Sensipets is beginning to feel like a connected world. Gardening and fishing supply ingredients for cooking, discoveries fill the Almanac, activities can reveal new pet species, and player-created collectibles can eventually enter the wider economy.

Here are some highlights:

The Kitchen is open

Players can bring two ingredients to Chef Roux and try to discover a dish. Known recipes can be prepared immediately, while genuinely new discoveries may take some time to create and illustrate.

Cooking now has its own progression track and unlockable stations, including the mixing bowl, prep board, griddle, stock pot, crystal oven, fermentation crocks, and dehydrator. The station matters: the same ingredients can produce different dishes depending on how they are prepared.

Successful recipes are recorded in the Cooking Almanac, and the original discoverer receives credit. The finished food can then be used to feed pets and grow their personal food collections.

Familiar genetics and Fusion

The Familiar Lab has become a much deeper system.

Players can research a familiar to permanently reveal its genes, or place two familiars into a Fusion chamber to create something new from their inherited traits. Energy Calibrations and Catalysts can influence the possibilities, while lineage records preserve where each result came from.

There is also Reverb, which can unwind an eligible Fusion result and restore fresh copies of its original parents. The Lab has its own research levels, chamber progression, rewards, discovery records, and an expanding Familiar Almanac.

Brightworks player commissions

Brightworks is a new AI-assisted invention workshop run by AUSTIN, a fabrication robot in Nova Reach.

Players can describe a collectible, toy, plushie, or balloon; choose its fabrication quality; and provide existing Sensipets items as visual references. AUSTIN creates several internal candidates, the strongest three are presented to the player, and the player chooses and lightly refines their favorite.

Every commission passes through review before delivery. Approved work becomes a bound first edition with public creator credit, while additional unbound copies may later appear through regular NPC store rotations.

Gardening and fishing were rebuilt

The Sunpatch now has a more deliberate lifecycle. Plants move through real-time growth stages, water totals can shape the variant that eventually grows, and fertilizer speeds up the full lifecycle. Harvesting earns crops, Gardening XP, and Bloom Tokens, while composting gives unwanted plant items another purpose.

Fishing is now a relaxed cast-and-return activity. Players choose a spot, rod, optional gear, and whether to cast into near, middle, or deep water. Different depths favor different catches, and results can include fish, cooking ingredients, treasure, and Tide Tokens. There is no reflex challenge—you can leave and return when the catch is ready.

New species encounters

Not every pet species is immediately available anymore. Exploring regions and participating in activities such as fishing, gardening, cooking, trading, concerts, games, and familiar research can trigger encounters with previously undiscovered species.

Once claimed, those species become available through Bonnie's adoption system. I wanted expanding your adoption choices to feel connected to actually playing and exploring the world.

There have also been plenty of smaller improvements: expanded Almanacs, more customizable pet and player profiles, unlockable character emoji, better mobile forums, easier store stocking and sorting, editable trade offers, clearer bank and vault progression, and a monthly Last Chance drawing at the Drift.

Sensipets remains an openly AI-assisted browser pet game. AI is used throughout development, artwork, and content, with curation and disclosure built into the process.

The beta is open at: Sensipets — Adopt Pets, Explore Worlds, Build Community

I'd love to hear which of these systems sounds most interesting—or what you think Sensipets still needs most.
