AI generated art is growing very fast and it is taking over the internet, but the question is; should it be allowed on pet sites? I understand that AI generated art are convenient but it lacks that human touch that is needed. If it is used too much on pet sites, it might lose the connection with the users. What do you think?

I believe that AI-art is acceptable on pet sites only when it is controlled or rather used in moderation.

I don't see anything wrong with using AI to generate art in pet sites but it should be done in moderation. Overusing it will make it less appealing because human touch and creativity is needed.

Using AI generated arts in pet sites is not bad at all. It will become bad if it's being used too much on the site. Some touch of AI and human touch can work perfectly well with no issue.

I wouldn't allow it, AI can't draw, it can only pull on pre made pictures to generate something. So basically, you would be using people's art on your site without their permission.

When Al art is only used to create slight differentiations in virtual pets, it is okay. Using it extensively would dilute the originality of a virtual pet game.

AI generated art sometimes could be very useful to pet sites and that is only if it is used to create unique and engaging content. The major thing here is to ensure that this AI generated art doesn't replace human creativity or infringe on them.

Never! I wouldn't allow AI to be used on my pet site should I have one. It's just like how I love what Explorer Games is doing with their game Aywas by totally banning the use of AI art works.

Honestly, no. If it's used to generate art, it is not a good idea. If it's used to streamline the process and uses your own art, maybe.

But, I don't see AI art being a good idea at all in the basis and foundation when it pertains to the virtual pets industry. This industry has strived for the past 20+ years with actual artists being at the for front of creating art for every single pet site that's online today. If we take that away from them, then you can kiss a lot of creators good bye. They're the ones that have created adorable pets, items, and more that we have grown to love over the years.

Without the talented artists, I don't believe pet sites would be as big and successful as they are today. They are the sole reason along with the very talented programmers that have helped make this industry a big successful one. We owe it to the them to not bring AI generated concepts to this industry at all. It is disappointment all around as AI is not art, it is not actual creation. It takes away concepts from other creators and steals concepts from those that have spent tons of time creating.

Sure, video game developers are using it, but they want to save money and be cheap, but that's because they'd rather push games out a lot faster. However, they have talented artists on board that can spend creating art for their games. They shouldn't be doing it either, but they art. It is ridiculous, it shouldn't be done.

I did support this. AI can't do everything and making use of it in pet sites can never bring the excitement that comes with human creativity.

Exactly. This act alone can attract serious lawsuits that's likely going to cost the pet games its very existence after paying for damages. It's a wrong move for any pet site games to copy.

No, AI has no place on petsites, with no exceptions.

One of the big draws of petsites is that they are a creative outlet for a lot of people. Ethical issues aside (of which there are many), if you outsource the creative element to a non-human entity, you've entirely lost the point of these games and have no right to be in this space.

The only problem I have with AI.art is that it pulls from existing art works and it does not give credit to the owner, which is quite unethical. AI can also hurt the artist who creat original content.

AI is like repeating what have been done but making the arts more beautiful and clear for the eyes. There are artists that are way better than AI when it comes to art.

To be honest, I love AI art. It always looks amazing but it lacks originality and the bad thing is that it can overshadow human artists. As much as I like AI art to be used on pet sites, there should be clear transparency about how it was made.

The cool thing is that it can be used to make quick and shiny designs, but, it tends to steal ideas from the actual artists . Art made by humans has soul and originality, which cannot be replicated by AI.

That's my stand as well. Letting AI become the creative outlet on pet sites will make it boring and not a great place for pet lovers to come and have fun. So, I don't think relegating the work of creatives to AI is a good idea on pet sites.

Even if they give credit to the owner of such art works AI pulled from another source, it doesn't change the fact that the art work lacks originality of its own. This points to the whole game being a lazy project.

AI can never overshadow the works of human artists. There's no way that can happen because the difference is clear. Human artists always have originality while AI only have the beautiful looks.

AI arts can be breathtaking, however it can also overshadow human artists in some cases. But I still do not believe that AI will ever completely replace a human artist.
