Should pets be able to evolve?

One of my favorite things to do on Pokemon, and Digimon was evolve my pets.

Do you think all virtual pet sites should have evolution for pets?

I personally love evolutions and I'd like to see more of them but I also get why there's not a lot of it around; depending on the design of the game the workload might be the same as adding a new pet, and the paintbrush system inspired by neopets where the pet is just redrawn in a different pose/theme can be seen as a kind of evolution system.

Might get a little too close for Nintendo's taste of animals transforming into something else, but I think it should be included, give people something to strive for.

It is necessary for most virtual pet sites to embrace evolution for their pets. It is what is going to make players feel a bit more attached to their pets. So, it is a welcome development.

The pet evolution is going to be a very beneficial feature but its effectiveness depends on how a website integrates its concept and gameplay elements. I believe that pet evolution functions would be very entertaining.

I like the concept of pets growing from a baby to an adult, but it hasn’t really been done since the Zetapets days. It took 14-30 days for the baby pet to grow until it evolved to its adult form.

However, some adoptable pet games allow you to grow an egg, hatch it, and then raise it into a regular pet—essentially a form of evolution.

I think it would be a neat concept for more pet sites to embrace, especially if players could explore different lands, capture eggs, and hatch them into unique pets.

For pet games that the pets have the ability to evolve, it adds some other goal that players can look forward to. The evolution of the pet would be a quest that would keep someone to keep playing in anticipation to what the pet would evolve to.

I believe pets evolving in virtual pet game is an excellent concept and it will introduce.a new sense of interest and enthusiasm for the players.
