Not sure if having a young schoolgirl as a pet is right lol.
 
What i find funny about "branded" tamagotchi's is that there is little work put into them, they're just a general reskin. I don't ever buy them.
 
I'm honestly surprised Tamagotchis are still around. I know there's the Digimon ones, but those are cooler IMO since you can raise a Digimon and battle with other people. I agree with Elseb though, these usually are just reskins and aren't too impressive IMO.

They seem like a cheap way just to further expand a brand name personally.
 
Got to keep the name brand fresh and exciting or no one will stick around for it.
Maybe, it's a good plan and it's probably working for them as they've kept it up for a while. Anything to make a project thrive is acceptable right!

Yup pretty much mate. I reckon they probably pay a fair bit for the rights as well and then have to get it out quickly otherwise executives aren't happy.

The higher ups never like it when a product doesn't earn them that bonus.
