  1. Just got this email - passing it on:

What do you guys think about this move?
  2. not-smart-at-all.
  3. Why don't they punch players and kick them while there down while there at it.
  4. i dont even play, but i think its a dumb move
  5. I got the same email. Given that I'm not interested in Foopets, I wouldn't pay.
But I bet a lot of people would. They have millions of players. I bet it's a good move - like Webkinz.
  6. true though, im sure people would pay
  7. This is S***. I used to Love Foo, back in 2009. Now, its crap. I would NOT pay $70 a year for a bunch of pixels...
  8. I am a member there, both free and subscribed, if you want to see what not to do to your customer base, make a one month account there and read what is going on with the people before they are being kicked out on the 26th, they could have handled this a better way then saying to all the members who did help the site but didn't subscribe" thanks for the dough, now buh- bye". I lose 3 accounts to freezing on the 26th, and once my sub ends on my main, I am not renewing
  9. Well, do you buy account upgrades on any site?
  10. Not a cool move, in my opinion. They could at least do like, paid gets more bonus and whatnot like most places do. Making it paid only is.. well, it's going to close it off to a lot of people because there are many folks out there that just can't afford the extra however much for something that is not needed. Yeah, there are going to be the ones that can and will.. but will it be better for their community, and the site overall? I don't think it will and it will mostly just benefit their pockets. That's just my opinion though.
  11. I don't like it at all.I think they shouldn't have done that. They should have at LEAST put the link where to subscribe.I think it's really rude of Foopets to do that.I hope they get it all fixed.=)
  12. Foopets lost my respect when they pounded my Bengal kittens after only a week's vacation I had.
  13. I don't really understand that.. People are greedy.
  14. I'm just bumping this to ask:

What has become of foopets since this move? Has their site grown or has the site gone down hill? Has the growing smart phone market made them revilement?

  15. I can't even find where it says it is a subscription only site. It says its designed for children, then in the T&C it say it will need info and take payment for the "subscription" you have chosen, but until there it seems free? Have I missed something?
  16. It is in deeded pay to play I double checked. I could not even sign up without choosing a payment plan.

  17. I said/meant before you get to that point, the first it mentions it is when it's telling you in T&C (I don't see it before this). It has all the "create your pet" without mentioning it's subscription only. If it's designed for children, it would be helpful to let people know that it is subscription only on the homepage or something. Rather than letting the kid think they're creating a pet to play with then hasseling the parents

  18. I have to agree with you there I would think the front page should say it plain as day instead of having you go half way through the sign up to find out. It sounds like a recipe for kids to steal their folks credit card.

Here are some really cute 3D pets. We will let you pet and play with them in preview but you have to sign up to do more.

  20. It's designed for children, but some adults may play as well. It's been pay to play for a while now.
I wish I had more data on this site. I'm guessing it's probably have gone downhill a little bit because players don't like to pay to play. It's a good idea, but I just don't see them pulling a lot of users in anymore.
