Tamagotchi Plaza now has a release date! It will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 26th. So, if you're ready to play the new Tamagotchi game, you'll be able to do so soon! It will feature 15 new shops, which will include the 12 shops that were previously available on the original Nintendo Switch. This new game will feature various new gameplay elements compared to the first game.
Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced that Tamagotchi Plaza for Nintendo Switch 2 is releasing on June 26.
The latest announcement trailer has also been dropped. In addition, information about exclusive shops for the Switch 2 version has been shared on the official X/Twitter account.
Do note that the exclusive shops for the Switch 2 edition differ from those for the Switch version.
Tamagotchi Plaza – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will feature a total of 15 shops, including the 12 shops from the Nintendo Switch version.
The additional shops, meanwhile, will utilize the new mouse control feature of the hardware. These are the Sushi Shop, Shuriken Shop, and Sushi Shuriken Shop.
Players will need to be spot-on with the Joy-Con 2 in accomplishing the tasks for each shop.
For instance, they will need to hold the Joy-Con 2 upright and align the cursor with the center of the target to entertain customers at the Shuriken Shop.
They will also need to grip the Joy-Con 2 pretty well while serving sushi, ginger, and tea at the Sushi Shop.
This aspect of the Switch 2 version lets players to enjoy a different gameplay experience compared to the Switch version.
The aforementioned three additional shops are under the Secret Shop in Tamahiko Town.
Gozarutchi, who runs the shop alone, will ask players to help out at the Secret Shop. Even the Gotchi King, Princess Tamako, and Prince Tamahiko are regular customers at this shop.
