There is how we are playing a a game and have taken a strategy in the game, and shortly after, it becomes clear to us that the strategy would fail us in that game.

Have you ever played a game and realized mid-game that your strategy would certainly fail? Which game was that and what was the strategy that was failing?

Yes, in Civilization VI. I already envisaged that I might not win because my defense wasn't enough. That time I already realised that my plan would not work.

In XCOM 2, I already knew in the middle of the game that I would lose because I mistakenly put all my troops in the open for the enemy to devour.

The League of Legends is another one for me. I had made a wrong choice and my team was lacking a tank. When I started I knew that the plan might likely fail and it did.

A few RPGs I played I knew from the start of the battle I was toast, but I kept on going and hoping for some luck.

I haven't played much games on battles or wars but the other games I played, I've experienced failed levels because my strategy won't work. Sometimes, you just need to restrategize so that you can win again.
