Of course college is pushed because it makes the school money, but is college a good idea for everyone or does it lead to saturation in the job market and not to mention the fact that employers prefer older candidates and foreigners due to cost and the assumption much of the workforce is immature and entitled.
Myself, I think employers are greedy, but then again, much of the workforce is immature, no doubt from the influence of a society that demphisizes family values and commends financial success, oddly enough.
For instance, some kid has no clue about traditional ethics and also wants to be a superstar and then there's college which promises him/her that. But then again, you need hard work to graduate from college with a B GPA or higher.
