The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled its highly anticipated 30th-anniversary release lineup, highlighted by the debut of the first-ever LEGO Pokémon sets and new Nintendo Switch titles. The brand has detailed a comprehensive schedule that spans digital gaming, mobile campaigns, and physical collectibles. The celebration will be anchored by a special Pokémon Presents video broadcast, promising major updates and announcements across the entire Pokémon universe.

A major highlight of the 30th-anniversary celebration is the return of the beloved 2004 Game Boy Advance remakes, Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version. The classic titles are officially making their way to the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2 as download-exclusive releases. Both games will be available to play immediately following the conclusion of the Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Beyond the digital realm, The Pokémon Company is officially bridging the gap into the building block space through a landmark partnership with the LEGO Group. The highly anticipated collaboration will introduce the first-ever LEGO Pokémon sets, bringing iconic characters to life in brick form. The inaugural drop features five fan-favorite pocket monsters: Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Additionally, the brand is rolling out a yearlong “What’s Your Favorite?” campaign, inviting fans to engage through a new snapshot feature in the mobile game Pokémon GO, which concurrently celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Nintendo Switch ports and the initial LEGO Pokémon sets drop February 27, 2026.

Does that mean the graphics will be enchanced to Nintendo Switch 2 quality, or will it just make those games playable on a Switch?
