The owner of Khimeros, who is also the owner of Aethria has recently announced the return of Aethria on Khimeros’ news page.
“As some of you may already know, Hazer has been hard at work updating Aethria's code and a lot of bugs have been fixed, features made useable, and UI impovements made! You can check out the news for details. We anticipate having a grand re-opening once more progress has been made, but the site is fully playable in the meantime! Visit Aethria today, it is free to join and free to play!”
The following changes have been implemented on Aetheria so far:
- The Night Theme (code)
- Khim Checklist
- Site Chat (which included fixing NPC's and making sure item granting works!)
- Inkling Pen Update (still in progress)
- Fixed multiple deco system issues such as:
--- Static equipables (such as items which will move and resize along side your aether)
- Changed the UI/Layout of Foraging to match Khimeros and extra changes to the page layout.
- Fixed Flora Tablet seed image generation so new flora tablets dont look broken
These are some of the changes i've made that i've kept track of.
There's also been minor UI adjustments here and there with more to come.
I'm currently working on/planning on working on the following right now:
- Inventory UI and Item Usage
- Aether View Page (so it's tabbed and neater much like the Khimeros Lair page)
- Growables UI update (I want to make it so it updates in real time so less refreshes needed)
- NPC system (ported from Khimeros and then with added support for item recycling as we're not happy with the current NPC system)
Of course there's a LOT more that we're aware of that needs adjusting/fixing and lots of ideas we have for adding but that is the short list of what I will be working on soon.
Can we have a hip hip hooray in the news comments for the revival of Aethria? 😀
The deco system is now also 100% functional and working as intended (as far as we know - please let us know if there are any glitches we haven't discovered)! Remember that if you want to use Inklings or Khims in deco, you need to add them to your deco chest!
The live chat now has NPC support and the ability to give out trinkets and items!
Foraging has now been updated to work like it does on khimeros, with a full-image grid, by popular demand!
Many more updates have been made to the UI on numerous pages (and more to come).
The "Mystic Garden" page has now been renamed to "Sacred Ground" to better reflect the lore of Calligra, and stone tablets being buried in the ground rather than planted in a garden like seeds. The seed pouch/egg basket is now the "Tablet Ark" in inventory. New backgrounds will be coming for both Inkling and Flora grounds!
Improvements have been made to the inventory page, with more to come.
Individual world map pages have been completely revamped.
The forums have been pruned to be more compact
User Search has been added to the Community Menu
The quickstart guide has been updated with a video tutorial added, and has been linked from the help menu. More video tutorials will be added!
A list of things we're working on has been added to a pinned post in the User Help and Questions subforum, you can comment on the post to discuss or make suggestions!
