Third party apps that you have found to be better than the default apps?

Our devices always come installed with default apps for browsers, keyboard, music players and other utilities. However, there are many instances that third party apps that we have discovered and tried serves far better than those default apps.

Which third party app has completely replaced the default apps on your device because the third party apps were clearly better?

Usually music apps in my experience. Also actual mail apps like outlook or gmail.

I'll definitely go with the VLC media player. It's available for Windows, Android and iOS. Funny enough, it still comes with no ads today. It's the only 3rd party apps with no ads for the free version.

The default media players on many systems are good from my experience but VLC is better and has more advanced features.

I don’t even use most default apps again. For example, MX Player beats any phone’s video app hands down. Even file managers like Solid Explorer are a lifesaver compared to the boring stock ones. Default apps are just a waste of storage on my phone.

MX player isn't better than VLC media player. MX player that will pop up ads when you pause whatever you're watching on your a smartphone and it's worst when your data connecting is active.

That's just true! For messaging, I prefer Telegram over WhatsApp because the features are better. For music, Spotify beat any built-in music app hands down. Even file managers like Solid Explorer is way better than the default Android one.

I have never seen any built in file explorer that is excellent on smartphone. Everyone that I know that owns an android phone uses third party file explorers. I personally use ES File Explorer.
